What cosmetics tests are reliable?
When deciding to conduct tests, we chose those that actually confirm the effectiveness of cosmetics on the skin, and not just confirm the subjective assessment of their effects. Why is this important? Instrumental tests – which we chose – have the advantage of proving the actual effects of the product, while application tests are simply an expression of the feelings of volunteers taking part in the study.
What are apparatus tests?
Measurements using the apparatus are performed before the first use of the product and after a single or multiple application. Thanks to the apparatus tests, an objective, repeatable result expressed in numbers is obtained, i.e. detailed information on the degree of change (improvement). The apparatus tests are performed in research laboratories under strictly defined ambient conditions (temperature and humidity), which ensures extraordinary precision of the obtained results.
In the interpretation of the results of apparatus tests, statistical analysis is an essential tool. And here we have an exact reference - whether the results used are the standard in care or whether they indicate extremely high effectiveness.
